Cinder Magazine exists because your stories matter.
Your drawings. Your poems. Your sculptures. Your scripts, your rage, your color palettes, and your obsessions. Whether you’ve been featured in galleries or you’ve never shared your work before, this space is for you
We publish work from creators who’ve had to adapt to create, or create to adapt.
We are looking for chronically ill, neurodivergent, and disabled writers, artists, photographers, and creatives of all kinds– if you identify with any or multiple of these, your work belongs here!

What is Cinder Magazine looking for?
We are looking for visual art, modeling & photography, essays, poetry, fiction, comics, fiber arts, glass arts, jewelry, and anything else handmade or handwritten. If it fits on a page and fits the theme, we want to see it! Your work doesn’t need to be about your condition, disability, or identity to be relevant. Your voice is already part of the story.
Who should submit?
You don’t need a polished resume or publication history. You don’t need to be working full-time as a creative. We’re building something for real people with real lives and we value authenticity more than credentials. If you have something creative to share we would love to see it.
Why should you submit?
We’re here to build a platform that’s reflective of you: the artists, the writers, and the thinkers behind the page. Our audience typically includes fellow spoonies or individuals who value diversity and representation. Contributors are always credited and respected, and feedback is encouraged. When we grow we grow together!
